On the heels of Hong Kong’s Chief Executive election and in the middle of the HKIFF Kevin and I still managed to get out and see some movies.  For East Screen I cover Herman Yau’s LOVE LIFTING [高舉‧愛] and Shu Qi and Shawn Yue in THE SECOND WOMAN [情謎].  Kevin sneaks in to talk about TINKER TAILOR SOLDIER SPY and the Korean film SUNNY [써니].

heh…turns out that the girl who sings the theme song for “The Second Woman” is actually an old classmate of mine from high school, Wendy Zheng. I don’t know her personally but I am close friends with her godbrother. And I helped her family move stuff. Broke her sister’s mirror by accident, i hope that doesn’t guarantee me 7 years of bad luck~!

oh, and to answer kevin’s “ignorance” if that’s what u can call it, william so talks funny in english on “i love hong kong 2012″ because he is spoofing the singaporean/malaysian accent. he should be good at it since he used to be married to a singaporean.
